A Disappointing BBQ Party

My apartment is located near a mall and a subway station. It's very convenient. My neighbours are very quiet. But the trouble with the building is that the elevators are too slow. I think it is because the building is old and maybe the elevators are overworked. I often take the stairs. It is a good chance for exercise.
The rental office of my building had a BBQ party on Wednesday at for 5:30pm to 7:00pm. All tenants were invited. I thought that the party would improve the relationship between the landlord and tenants. My family and I arrived at the party at 5:45pm. I saw many neighbours. They sat by themselves. We took our coupons to the reception desk. The BBQ company serviced us. We joined the long line to get our food. Finally, I got a hotdog, an ice cream cone and a bottle of water. The hotdog was cold and the ice cream was melting. I felt cheated. After a few minutes, the BBQ company packed up and the party was over.
I will not attend it next time.

Field Trip to Queen's Park

This was my first time joining my new class in a field trip. I got up early because I had never ridden the subway by myself. "Call 911 if you get lost," my husband said. He likes kidding with me.
Anyway, I was lucky. I arrived at Queen's Park and met with my teacher and classmates at the entrance of the Legislative Building. We went into the hall following the guide. She introduced the Legislative Chamber, the East and West Wings of the building, the history of Ontario and our rich parliamentary heritage.
The building has many showcases of mahogany with richly carved details, portraits of Premiers and Speakers of the House who have contributed to Ontario's history, and busts of prominent Canadians along the hallways on the first and second floors .

My first blog

　I had never written blog in English, so in the beginning I had my head in the clouds. I always wrote my life in Chinese QQ space.

　　I think this is an opportunity to improve my writing in English. However I will try.

　　I felt my English level was the worst among my new classmates. They spoke very fluently in English. I hope I am like them.
