Mother's Day Surprise

I got a big surprise on Mother's day. I had been the mother of a baby squirrel for one day. You know why? I found a baby squirrel while I was walking along the street near a mall. Suddenly, I saw a baby squirrel on the ground and it looking at me. It was so cute. I could touch it. I guessed it might be ill or hungry. I went to the mall and bought some bread for it, but it didn't eat it. I spent about 10 minutes with it. I didn't see any squirrel coming to get it. When I left it, it followed me. I thought it was an orphan. If I left, it would die. I didn't want to leave it alone. So I took it back to my home. I gave it some milk and few cookies. It quickly ate the food. I sent it to Wildlife Centre the next day.

It had drunk two caps of milk, and was ready to go to sleep. It was so tired and so scare day .

It woke up in the morning.

I'm hungry. Who can tell me where my food is?
I will go to Wildlife Centre to begin my new life. I am so sad.

Last sleep in my new mother's hand.
Toronto Wildlife Centre

Every spring we can find many baby animals, but you must know the Wildlife Act of Canada.
It is illegal to have any wild animal in your care for more than 24 hours. You can end up paying a fee. The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) has responsibility for promoting and enforcing these rules. The SPCA ( society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) works with the MNR. It is illegal to keep wildlife without a permit even in Ontario.
Many wild animals carry parasites and diseases that can be transferred to you or your pet. It is dangerous as well. If you do not know how to help them, please call Wildlife Centre. Toronto Wildlife Centre is a registered charity dedicated to the rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife, and to educating the public on wildlife-related issues.

Happy Volunteer

We had a field trip last Friday. We met at 10.15 a.m, at the level 1 Food Court of Fairview Mall for a treasure hunt. It was a snowy day. But we came on time.
This activity was organized by Arianne and Christiane. They gave us a handout about things to look for. We were divided into several groups. Two students of level 2 and my classmate Liji, my teacher's youngest son and I were a group. First we read the handout together and understood how we could complete the task quickly. "Let's go! it'll be fun." I said. We quickly went to the washroom near the Food Court and found the brand of the hand dryer. When we entered ithe washroom, many women gave us a strange look, they didn't know why we write down the brand of the hand dryer on our papers. We just gave them a smile. Then we went to The Bay and found a bottle of women's perfume:"made by Gucci", but we didn't see the price. "How can I help you?" said a pretty salesclerk as she walked toward us. "Yeah, could you tell me the price of this perfume?" I said. "Sure, it is $118 for 75ml" she said. "Thank you so much,"we said. "You're welcome,"she smiled.
We visited The Bay, HMV, Sport Check, Bikini Village, B 2, Silver City, Apple, etc ,about 20 stores in almost one and a half hours. We got a lot of fun. If we entered the store and didn't find something, we just asked the cashier of the store. They would tell us the price of the product from their computer right away.
I really thank the LINC school, which gave me opportunities to be a volunteer. It was an opportunity for me to exercise what I have studied at school in real daily life.

Field Trip to CBC Sounds of the Season

My classmate and I went to Union Station to attend our school field trip to the CBC Broadcast Centre last Friday. We met under the big clock at 9.30am.

We followed level 6 teacher, Mr. Donald to go to CBC Tower. When we arrived, there were many people standing in line. I had been for an hour in line. This made me so tired. Finally, we entered the studio and listened to the concert.
